Performing the Dhikar of Allah (SWT) is very important for all Muslims. The literal meaning of Dhikar is to call back to memory or to bring something in the conscious mind. That means that we need to be consciousness related to God. The term also means “a reminder” or “to remember”.
Prayer is just one way of performing Dhikr. Allah says in the holy book – The Quran Kareem, the interpretation of which is–
“..and prayer should be established. Indeed the prayer will keep the offenses and hater away from you.”
Throughout the Holy Prophet (SAWW), all the believers addressed to have the prayers or salats regularly as it is the most important in the remembrance of Allah (SWT).
Surah Ta-Ha verses No. 132 of Surah Mi’raj, in the tafseer, it is explained;
A Mumin or faithful Muslim will always pray Salat so that he or she is able to reach in the closeness of Allah.
Pondering on the creations of Allah and raising Allah or reciting Allah Names is also considered as Zikhar.
Allah says in the holy Book Quran Kareem in Ayath 3:191, it may be interpreted as following;
All of those who remember Allah, while standing or sitting, while reclining, and those who ponder on the creations of the earth and the heaven, (say to them), All of these things have not been created in vain. Fire torment should be saved from it.

According to the verse number 41 of the chapter 3, Prophet Zakariyya (AS), was when told that his barren wife will have a child in his hand, he asked Allah to have a sign for him. It was even after the natural disability that his son was going to have a life. The sign which was given to him was that he was not to speak for 3 days.
